Meet our Recruitment Chair!
Hi, my name is Becca St. Onge and I am proudly the recruitment chair of the Zeta chapter of Chi Omega. Coming from a town 1,000 miles away from where I grew up, I found the home away from home I never knew I needed at Chi Omega. Ever since joining, I have found myself surrounded by the most amazing sisters which truly has transformed my college life and experiences.
I am originally from Seattle, Washington, and made a big choice to come to a university out of state where I knew no one attending. Going through the rush process was extremely fulfilling to me, but joining Chi Omega was even more. As soon as I walked through the doors on 2nd datebook, I felt a sense of ease and belonging. Throughout the days of rush, I found myself falling more and more in love with Chi Omega and the sisterhood that was offered. Opening my card on bid day and seeing “Chi Omega” was such an exciting moment for me because I knew how much I would soon get out of my new home. A year and a half later, I could never predict how much I have gained out of Chi Omega. I have found a support system, my future bridesmaids, and a community who I truly call my family.
Going through recruitment may seem like a daunting process, but you will have the most fun of your life and find your forever home. Chi Omega seeks to know all potential new members as they authentically are, and recognize their individuality in a big organization. Although our interests and strengths may be different, Chi Omega brings us all together under the same values which form our incredibly long lasting sisterhood. Celebrating our 118th year on campus, Chi Omega has proven to be strong, well-rounded, and supportive of all our members and their endeavors.
Impacting my experiences like no other, Chi Omega has given me everything I could possibly need or want throughout my college years and will continue to nurture me after I graduate. Chi Omega, the largest women’s fraternal organization in the world, with over 408,000 initiates, has provided every member with something they were missing before. This incredible organization has provided light in so many women’s lives. “Chi Omega is a home wherever you are. Yesterday - today - and tomorrow - for all generations”
