Our Philanthropy

Sisters inspired by our values who serve the world while keeping Chi Omega ever at heart.

Chi Omega and the Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 and grants wishes for children diagnosed with critical illnesses. A wish is a hope a child needs that makes them believe anything is possible. It is because of wishes like these that children don’t give up and give them the strength to fight their illness.

Chi Omega has been partnered with the Make-A-Wish foundation since 2002 and has nationally raised over $30,000,000 and given over 1,400,000 volunteer hours. Our chapter is honored to be a part of something so important and special. We are so proud to have donated $519,366 and 9322 hours as a chapter since working with Make-A-Wish. Make-A-Wish holds such a special place in each of our hearts and we are so lucky to be partnered with such an incredible organization.

Walk for Wishes is an annual nationwide fundraiser to celebrate the wishes that have been granted and raise money to grant more!.

Walk for Wishes is special to our chapter because it is so inspiring

to see the Colorado community come together and how excited

everyone gets for Make-A-Wish. This event allows us to celebrate

the incredible wish kids in our own area and we are honored to attend every year.

Meet Our Director of Philanthropy!

Hi! My name is Nicole Teska. I am so thankful to be Chi Omega Zeta Chapter’s Philanthropy Chair. I had the privilege of working alongside Make-A-Wish Colorado throughout highschool and am so excited to have another opportunity to be involved with such an impactful organization. I love that we are able to create awareness about such an important cause and also have the opportunity to grow closer with our sisters.

This organization creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They are on a quest to grant the wishes of every eligible child. Their research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Working with Make-A-Wish Colorado has been an incredible experience and I am grateful to be representing our chapter for such a good cause. I can’t wait to see the ways our chapter can support these children and families!

XO,

Nicole Teska
